Friesland

You start in the small, nice mound village of Ried. Old canals are interspersed with spatial vistas. With here and there a church, a fence, a sheep and above all a lot of peace. This is a very pleasant walking route for the whole family.

Walk along heathland and dune valleys and imagine yourself in the middle of the dune area on this foresterspad in Terschelling. Come in May and discover the large colony of cormorants, the singing bluethroats, the reed warbler and the flowery Ternplak. 

Enjoy water views to the fullest. You walk along the beautiful Lauwersmeer. You are surrounded by thousands of birds, reed plains and rugged Frisian nature. You will also pass through extensive reed beds, which are at least as impressive as the Wadden!

A special walk through a landscape with low inner dunes, wet dune valleys, polder landscape, heathland, forest and dikes. Stand still on the Ballumerstuifdijk. What a view you have here over the Roosduinen! This is a unique walk in the Wadden area.
